昨今のスーパーでは売り切れないほどの大きさの冬瓜で、作り手が減ってきている冬瓜。
在来農場では、毎年作り続けています✨
冬瓜は夏が旬の野菜ですが、
日持ちがよく冷暗所で保存すれば冬まで貯蔵できることからこの名が付けられたそうです。
果肉がやわらかく淡泊な味で、煮物やスープにするのがポピュラーな食べ方。
カロリーが低いので、最近はダイエット向け野菜としても人気です。
夏野菜も終わりに近づいていますが、
